TV Music Recordings, The Begin

Ladies and Gentleman,

Here I start a project of mine where I will upload all my TV music recordings.

FAQ:

Q: What do you mean TV Music Recordings?
A: Well, not MTV's promo videos of the "poppest" bands of the planet. I will be uploading mainly concerts and live music not available officially by the respective band. You can also count on having interesting music related documentaries, and such.

Q: How can I download them?
A: I will always try to have a Megaupload/Rapidshare link for all my posts. When I can't, there will always be the torrent option. This last one may usually be hosted at Dime A Dozen (EZTorrent). link: www.dimeadozen.org

Q: How do you record them and in which format will they be uploaded?
A: I'll be recording everything with a Technisat SkyStar 2 - a DVB-S (Digital Video Broadcasting - Satellite) computer card, so you can count with 100% digital recordings. You *CAN'T* get anything better, independently from the final recording size.
As for the format, it will depend:
- For live music recordings, I shall not reencode, so you will get exactly what I record - MPEG2/MPEG4+MP2/AC3 (the standard DVB broadcasting formats). This can be in the TS format (Transport Stream) or MPG container. All major DVD-Video player software accept both formats. In some cases, I may author a DVD-Video with my recordings. In that case, there will be available all the necessary files to record a real DVD-Video you can play on your standalone DVD Player, or just play them in your computer as usual.
- For documentaries, etc, I may reencode them to MPEG-4 so it can be, basiclly, smaller. This can be Divx, Xvid or x246 (AVC) contained in AVI, MP4 or MKV.

Q: Can I request you to record me something?
A: As long as it's music related, sure! Just be sure it can be received in Europe via Satellite.

Q: How can I contact you?
A: Just leave your e-mail at one of the comment boxes, and I'll get in touch with you.
